Hopper Assembly
•
The hopper includes a pellet clean-out feature to allow for easy
cleaning and the ability to change out wood pellet fuel flavors.
To empty, locate the pellet clean-out door and door handle on the
back side of the hopper. Lift the door handle to unlock. Place a
clean, empty pail under the clean-out door and pull the door han-
dle to open the drop-chute access plate, allowing the pellets from
the hopper to empty. Once empty, lift the door handle again to
unlock. Push the drop-chute access plate back into place. Push the
door handle down to lock closed.
(G)
NOTE: Use a long handled brush or shop-vac to remove ex-
cess pellets, sawdust, and debris for a complete clean-out
through the hopper screen.
•
Running all pellets out of your auger system is recommended if
your grill will be unused for an extended period of time. This can
be done by simply running your grill, on an empty hopper, until all
pellets have emptied from the auger tube.
•
Check and clean off any debris from the fan air intake vent, found
on the bottom of the hopper. Once the access panel has been re-
moved, carefully wipe off any grease build-up directly on the fan
blades. Use warm soapy water to cut the soot and grease. This
ensures airflow is clean and sufficient to the feed system.
