Operating range of remote control unit
The r emote cont r ol may not wo r k pr o p e r ly if:
• The r e a r e obstacles between the r emote cont r ol and
the r eceive r ’s r emote senso r .
• Di r ect sunlight o r fluo r escent light is shining onto the
r emote senso r .
• The r eceive r is located nea r a device that is emitting
inf r a r ed r ays.
• The r eceive r is o p e r ated simultaneously with anothe r
inf r a r ed r emote cont r ol unit.
Tip
• By connecting an RF ada p te r to the RS-232C and CU-
RF100 te r minals (SC-37) / EXTENSION te r minals (SC-
35) , the CU-RF100 omni-di r ectional r emote cont r ol
can be used fo r RF two-way communications with the
r eceive r .

With RF two-way communications, the
info r mation of the r eceive r ’s dis p lay can be dis p layed
on the r emote cont r ol in you r hands and the r emote
cont r ol can be o p e r ated without wo rr ying about
obstacles o r the di r ection in which the r emote cont r ol
is p ointing.

2 The maximum line-of-sight distance fo r RF two-way communications is about 10 mete r s. This line-of-sight communications distance is a r ough
indication, and may diffe r acco r ding to the su rr ounding envi r onment.
