3.1.4. Operation before Recording

Intensifier Power ON-OFF
The intensifier has a protection circuit incorporated. However, it does not mean that the intensifier
is completely protected against damage. You must be very careful not to expose the intensifier to
excessive light input. In order to avoid any unexpected exposure of the intensifier to light, place a
lens cap on the objective lens while you set up the intensifier and the camera, and keep the lens
iris to the largest f-stop (f16 or f32). If you are using lighting equipment, switch it off or swing it
away from the object, or adjust the light amount to the minimum setting if it is adjustable.
In case of an emergency, shut the camera processor power off, or, when the intensifier is in the
PLAY mode, press the STOP button on the keypad, which is the shortcut key for shutting the
intensifier off.

Initializing Intensifier
Press the MENU button on the keypad and go to <HEAD EXCHANGE>, and then select [II HEAD].
Loading starts and the camera is initialized. If the camera had already been selected prior to the
use at this time, this procedure is not necessary because the camera should have been initialized
during the previous use.
