IMPORTANT - Joystick Safety Cut-out Device
The Joystick will not move the machine with the park
brake ON.
There is a safety device built into the seat. If the
operator rises out of the seat, after a short delay, the
transmission goes into NEUTRAL regardless of where
the Joystick is set. Should this occur when the
machine is moving, very severe braking will occur and
the machine will stop very rapidly. The drive will not
start until the operator again is seated and the
joystick has been returned to the NEUTRAL position
to reset the joystick function.
The PARK BRAKE will not release unless the joystick
is in NEUTRAL. If the park brake is released without
the joystick being in neutral the joystick function will
be disabled. The drive will not start until the joystick
has been returned to the NEUTRAL position to reset
the joystick function
To change direction between forward and reverse the
joystick must be returned to the
neutral
position and
the machine allowed to come to a
complete stop
,
before moving in the opposite travel direction.
In NEUTRAL the machine may roll down a slope and
should be stopped using the brakes.
All the Joystick mounted switches (except the buzzer)
will not function when the HIGH speed range is
selected. This is to prevent unintentional operation
when moving between work sites.
HAZARD WARNING:
NEVER leave the operators position without applying
the parking brake.
If the joystick is not in neutral when the park brake is
released the machine immediately goes into drive.
When the joystick is in NEUTRAL the brakes may still
be released and the machine can still move.
