Do not crank starter for more than 30 seconds
continuously.
Allow the engine to warm up at idle before selecting a
higher throttle speed.
Cold Starting – PERKINS Engine Only
The Perkins engine used is able to start well in colder weather. A
cold start aid is fitted; refer to the Perkins manual for further
information. Do not use Ether or Ki-gas as a starting aid.
To use cold start, turn ignition key back for 10
seconds. Cold start light in front console illuminates.
Immediately start engine.
Stopping the Engine
HAZARD WARNING
DO NOT turn engine ignition OFF when machine is
moving.
Before stopping the engine –
return the engine to IDLE speed and
put the park brake ON,
IMPORTANT
Run the engine at idle for 2 to 3 minutes before
switching OFF to allow the turbocharger to cool.
