The PSI-MODEMSHDSL/SERIAL is designed for use in potentially explosive areas that re-

quire 

category 3G equipment

.

Special conditions

Observe the specified conditions for use in potentially explosive areas.     

WARNING: Explosion hazard

Install the device in suitable 

housing with IP54 protection, minimum,

 that meets the 

requirements of EN 60079-15.

WARNING: Explosion hazard

Disconnect the block power supply 

before

Snapping it on or disconnecting it.

–

Connecting or disconnecting cables.

WARNING: Explosion hazard

The 

mini-USB configuration interface

 may only be used if it has been ensured that 

there is no potentially explosive atmosphere present.

 is only permitted if the screw connection is fully tight-

ened.

Only devices which are designed for operation in zone 2 potentially explosive areas and 

are suitable for the conditions at the installation location may be connected to the signal
