Copier
These properties can be set automatically from the configuration menu at the Omega PS200 by clicking
Learn Copier
on the
Station > Copier
screen. In most cases this should be easier than manually
configuring the values here. See the Pharos Omega Installation and Configuration manual for more
information.
Property
Description
Allow Offline
Copying
If “Yes” is selected, users will still be allowed to perform copying if
communications between Omega and the Pharos EDI fail. While in offline mode,
the PS200 will accept any logon details, and the user balance field on the
copying screen displays “Balance $0.00 (offline)” to indicate that they are in
offline mode. Omega stores details of all copying performed while offline, and
sends these details to the Pharos Database once communication is restored.
If offline copying is not allowed (i.e. if “No” is selected), users are not able to log
on and use Omega while it is offline.
Disable Third
Party Charging
when Offline
Select "Yes" if users should be denied access to Cost Centers when the copier is
offline. In this case, users will only be able to charge to their personal accounts.
Copier Inactivity
Time
This timeout begins after each copy is made. If no further copying is registered
within the timeout period, the copying session ends and the copier becomes
unavailable. Specify this period as a number of seconds between 1 and 255.
