The Monitor window becomes the Monitor IR Ratio window. The spectrum at the
current aperture position is displayed.
5. If your sample is soft, you may need to increase the contact of the crystal with the
sample.
To increase the contact, raise the stage slightly using the arrows in the
Focus
section
of the Control dialog.
6. When you are happy with the displayed spectrum, click .
7. Display the Scan menu in the Stage Control window and then select
Sample Ratio
.
The Scan Sample Ratio dialog is displayed.
8. Select the Scan Parameters and Display Mode you want.
9. Click
OK
.
The spectrometer starts to scan and spectra are displayed as they are collected.
10. If you want to view the sample, retract the ATR crystal.
