Conventions Used
Definitions
OPERATOR:
Person operating the equipment for its intended purpose.
RESPONSIBLE BODY:
Individual or group responsible for the use and maintenance of the
equipment and for ensuring that the
OPERATORS
are adequately trained.
SETPOINT:
The setpoint is the required temperature.
RAMP:
Ramp is a period or increase or decrease in temperature.
SOAK:
Soak is a period when there is no change in temperature.
Text conventions
Normal text is used to provide information and instructions.
Italic text is used to provide commentary.
All eight digit numbers are PerkinElmer part numbers unless stated otherwise.
Three terms, in the following standard formats, are also used to highlight special
circumstances and warnings.
NOTE:
A note indicates additional, significant information that is provided with some
procedures.
