EasyTouch Load Centre High Voltage Connections
The EasyTouch load centre enclosure includes Active, Neutral and Earth bus terminals, pre-wired
power relays, electrical outlets and control system transformer.
WARNING
BEFORE REMOVING THE HIGH VOLTAGE COVER PANEL FROM THE
ENCLOSURE
switch the main power OFF into the home at the main circuit
breaker box. Also, switch OFF the main power to the EasyTouch load centre
before removing the high voltage cover panel to access the low voltage race-
way.
EasyTouch Load Centre Location
Before installing the EasyTouch load centre read the following guidelines:
• AC power for the EasyTouch load centre must be provided from the main circuit breaker panel
located at the house.
• All electrical equipment, except for low voltage purpose made spa-side remote switches, must
be installed at appropriate distance from pool and/or spa, and comply with the Wiring Rules.
• Install the EasyTouch load centre in appropriate zone (AS/NZS 3000) away from pool/spa near
to the pumps, heater, valves, and sensors. Mount the enclosure outside under eaves or inside a
pool equipment house or other enclosure.
• Before choosing the final location for the EasyTouch load centre, consider the length of the
power cables and other wires that have to be connected to the enclosure. Make sure to con-
sider cable lengths for the sensors to the EasyTouch load centre location. The Air Temperature
Sensor cable is 1m long and the Water Temperature Sensor is 8m long. Most appliance power
cables are 2m long.
• DO NOT use extension cords between the EasyTouch load centre and connected equipment un-
less the extension cord is designed for use in wet environments and certified to the applicable
AS/NZS standard.
• Mount the EasyTouch load centre on a flat vertical surface or wall so that the electrical outlets
are located at the bottom of the enclosure. Upper and lower brackets are provided to mount the
enclosure to a vertical surface.
• DO NOT mount the EasyTouch load centre enclosure horizontally. Water can enter the enclo-
sure and cause damage to the system and an electrical shock hazard.
• Consider the EasyTouch load centre location when routing the conduit carrying the AC power to
the EasyTouch load centre.
• Install the EasyTouch load centre so that drainage is provided for all electrical components.
• All electrical appliances should be compliant to Australian/New Zealand Standards.
• Allow for unobstructed access to the front of the EasyTouch load centre for the owner or ser-
vice personnel.
• The EasyTouch load centre provides grounding screw terminals for grounding all equipment.
All equipment including the EasyTouch load centre enclosure must be bonded to earth ground.
