Boot Kit Assembly Installation (cont.)
If your mower has a 72” deck then you will need to install a Deck Blockoff Plate (Item #1) before installing your Boot.
To install the Deck Blockoff, position the Deck Blockoff towards the rear of the mower’s deck opening aligning the (2)
bolt holes. Secure the Deck Blockoff by using (2) 1/4”-20 x 3/4” HHCS (Item #2) and (2) 1/4”-20 Flange Nuts (Item
#3). Refer to Figure B below.

Once the Boot Kit is secured, adjust the Boot to make sure it fully covers the discharge area of the mower’s deck and
tighten all hardware at this time.

To install the Boot Kit, first, remove the hardware securing the mower’s discharge chute. Next, position the Boot over
the deck opening and set the Boot Plate between the chute mount tabs. Then, secure the Boot Kit by passing (1) Boot
Rod P#(B4331) through the discharge mount tabs and Boot Plate. Refer to Figure C. Finally, lock the Boot Rod in play
by using (1) Hair Pin Clip P#(K0099).
