Refilling the Deioniser Resin Column
The resin, in the Deioniser column, in the unit should be
replaced every 6 months. Below are instructions for
replacing the resin in the column.
1.
Unscrew the end cap of the Deioniser
Column, this should be hand tight, and then
remove the rubber O ring and sponge.
2.
Pour the saturated resin out of the column
and dispose of it. (See MSDS on P.30&31)
3.
Remove the sponge from the bottom of the
column.
4.
Put a new sponge (05-3290) at the bottom
of the column, then open the replacement
gel pack (05-4110) and pour its contents
into the column.
5.
Fit a new sponge at the top of the column,
refit the O ring and screw the lid back on
the column, until the O ring is in contact
with the cartridge. Ensure the lid is not over
tightened, as this could damage the thread.
