Replace Front Slot Cards

Install a new filter ensuring that it snaps into the back of the air filter slot. The filter installs with
the grid side of the filter facing the inside of the chassis as shown in Figure 29.

Replace Front Slot Cards
This section describes the steps needed to replace a failed front slot card. At minimum, the PA-7050
must have one SMC, one LPC, and at least one NPC card. If the SMC or LPC card fails, the chassis will
not operate, so it is recommended that you use High Availability (HA) for full redundancy.

Note: When servicing the air filter, only replace with a new filter; do not attempt
to clean old filters.
