Connect Cables
Figure 21 shows the PA-7050 cable connections. For details on the front slot cards, see “PA-7050
Modules and Interface Card Overview” on page 13. When using DC power supplies, the DC power
cables will be connected at the front of the DC power supplies.
When connecting the High Availability (HA) cables, HA1 (control) must be configured on the HA1-A
and/or HA1-B ports. HA2 (data link) can be configured on NPC data ports, or the dedicated HSCI ports.
HA3 (packet forwarding) must be configured on the dedicated HSCI ports. You can connect HA1-A
and HA1-B through a switch or router. With the QSFP ports (HSCI-A and HSCI-B), you must connect
directly and cannot connect through a switch.
