Introduction

A PalatiumCare System is composed of the following parts; the PalatiumCare Enterprise Server,
a Network Coordinator, a Paging Transmitter and a Battery Back-up. A System Mounting Board
and a PalatiumCare UL2560 Comark PC is optional.

PalatiumCare Enterprise Server

The PalatiumCare Enterprise Server is the brains of the system which manages the network
coordinator and paging transmitter.  The server is also responsible for running reports,
managing facility settings, managing locations, managing residents, and managing devices.
Both the network coordinator and paging transmitter connect directly to the PalatiumCare
server.  The server requires a power outlet and a network connection that has Internet access.

Network Coordinator

The Network Coordinator is responsible for receiving all the wireless signals from the wireless
repeaters and wireless devices.  This does not include pagers.  The wireless receiver connects
directly into the PalatiumCare server and requires a power outlet.

Paging Transmitter

The Paging Transmitter is responsible for notifying caregivers

’ pagers

 when wireless devices are

triggered to alarm.  The paging transmitter connects directly into the PalatiumCare server and
requires a power outlet.

Battery Backup for PalatiumCare System

The Enterprise and UL Enterprise Server bundles include a UPS Battery Backup, all components
should be plugged into the Battery outlets. The battery backup provides 100%** functionality of
the system for up to 30 minutes during a power outage depending on load.

** During a power outage no reduced Power Saving mode is available, the system will maintain
100% functionality at all times.

PalatiumCare UL2560 Comark PC

The PalatiumCare UL2560 PC has the system requirement capable for reconfigure applications
and it is meant as a primary Alerting System for the PalatiumCare Enterprise E-Call.

System Mounting Board

System Mounting Board is a fire retardant backboard that is used as a base to mount the
required hardware. The required hardware for PalatiumCare System can be mounted with or
without the System Mounting Board.
