4.3.1 Expansion slots
The daughter boards fit into expansion slots that are located on the mother board.
There are eight expansion slots in the iTC, and a dedicated slot for a GPIB board (see
Figure 4-2 ). Slot number 1 is adjacent to the power supply unit in the iTC.

4.3.2 Positioning daughter boards
The following boards can be positioned in any location:

Level sensor board

Auxiliary I/O board

Temperature sensor board that is not used to control a heater.
A GPIB board must be fitted in the dedicated GPIB expansion slot (see Figure 4-2 ).
A heater board must be positioned in slot 1, 2 or 3 (see Section 4.3.2.1 ).
A temperature board that is used to control a heater must be positioned in slot 6, 7 or 8
(see
Section 4.3.2.1 ).
