Alignment and adjustment
Verify the socket after bench alignment
•
Before the user starts walking with the
prosthesis, the distances between socket and
knee joint must be verified over the full range of
motion:
•
Maximum flexion:
≥ 3 mm (1/8“)
distance
between hydraulics and
socket/adapter
•
Maximum extension:
≥ 5 mm (1/4“)
distance
between top edge of the knee
joint/Protective Cover and socket/adapter
•
If there is contact even with mounted flexion
stops a spacer/bumper must be placed on the
socket to generate enough distance between
socket and hydraulics
