Separating the Axon-Bus gripping component from the socket
1) To switch off the Axon-Bus prosthetic system, press the charging receptacle button and hold
for more than one second.
2) Press both unlock buttons on the wrist unit (see fig. 4).
INFORMATION: For safety reasons the Axon-Bus gripping component cannot be
removed if only one unlock button is pressed.
3) Pull off the Axon-Bus gripping component.
7.4 Proper handling of the Axon-Bus gripping component
INFORMATION
The handling procedures demonstrated in this section are independent of the gripping compon
ent used. The handling procedures are to be used for all gripping components.
Hand flexion, hand extension procedure
This function enables the flexion or extension of the Axon-Bus gripping component.
Flexible mode
1) Push the unlock lever (see fig. 5,see fig. 6) of the Axon-Bus gripping component (to the stop)
until it engages.

The wrist unit can be moved without engaging at the ratchet positions.
2) When the unlock lever is pushed again, the wrist unit engages at the next available position.
Rigid mode
1) Push the unlock lever (see fig. 5,see fig. 6) of the Axon-Bus gripping component lightly (not to
the stop) and move the wrist unit to the desired position.
2) When the unlock lever is released, the wrist unit engages at the next available position.
Pronation, supination procedure
CAUTION
Risk of pinching between the hook tips
Injury due to pinching of body parts.

Ensure that no body parts are between the hook tips when using or rotating the product.
INFORMATION
The following steps apply only to the product "9S501 AxonRotation adapter" (mechanical rota
tion). When using the product "9S503 AxonRotation", pronation and supination are controlled
by the associated muscle signals.
The wrist unit supports pronation and supination.

Grasp the gearbox and turn the wrist unit to the desired position.
Storage of the gripping component
CAUTION
Storage of the gripping component in the closed state
Injury due to faulty control or malfunction of the gripping component because of damage to the
sensors and mechanism.
►
Store the gripping component in the neutral position or open state only.
