AO SERIES | INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL
22
The DEMO application includes an automatic test loop procedure, in which there is the
possibility to save different positions (max. 5) directly related to the planes that have to
be focused. All the commands are described in the following table:
Automatic test commands
Set focus
Upload the percent value shown in the slider in one of the five positions of the loop.
The default load position is the first position which is not used.
Consider that this command allows the value to be loaded in one of the positions but
this value is NOT loaded to the onboard memory.
Write
Load the value present in the text box to the onboard memory.
This command, however, does NOT start the automatic procedure.
Reset
Reset the value of the relative loop position.
Load from memory
Allow to load the last value saved in the non volatile memory.
Loop [ms] – textbox
Time period of the loop (T
LOOP
): every T
LOOP
the lens changes its focusing properties by
switching through the 5 different positions (max).
Consider that T
LOOP
is effectively given to the onboard electronics only after the START
command of the automatic test loop.
Valid values are between 10 ms and 10 s.
+ / -
Increase/Decrease the time period of the loop (T
LOOP
).
+/- buttons allow ±100 ms precision regulation of T
LOOP
: to adjust this value with a
finer resolution use the adjacent textbox.
Consider that T
LOOP
is effectively given to the onboard electronics only after the START
command of the automatic test loop.
START/STOP
Start and Stop commands for the automatic loop procedure.
The START command is useless if the lens hasn’t been switched on previously (ON
button, see Paragraph 13.3).
4.1.4 IP settings
The IP address settings can also be configured from the DEMO interface.
The default IP Address is 192.168.1.200, but it can be easily changed: to do this, enter
the user-defined IP Address in the textbox and click the “Set IP Address” button. In
this way, the new IP Address is written in the non-volatile memory of the onboard
electronics.
Consider that the new IP Address will ONLY be available after the system reset: until
then, the IP Address will remain the same for all the working session.
4.1.5 Output trigger signal
This tab can be used to set the time duration of the trigger signal.
Acceptable values range from 1 ms to 500 ms.
Since the output signal is optoisolated, it can be “ACTIVE HIGH” or “ACTIVE LOW”,
depending on the connection configuration. Please refer to Paragraph 11.5 for further
information about optoisolated signals.
