First commissioning
WARNING!
The machine may only be commissioned after proper installation.
Initial operation of the lathe by inexperienced operators endangers both people and the
machine. We do not accept any liability for damages caused by incorrectly performed
commissioning.
ATTENTION!
Before initial operation of the machine, check all screws, fixtures and/or safety devices
and tighten them as necessary!
WARNING!
Risk from using improper workpiece clamping materials or operating the machine at an
inadmissible speed.
Only use the tool clamping devices (e.g. lathe chuck) that were delivered with the
machine or those offered by OPTIMUM as optional equipment.
Only use tool clamping devices in the intended admissible speed range.

Electrical connection
WARNING!
The three-phase electrical connection of the TU3008 may only be performed by an
electrician or under the guidance and supervision of an electrician.

ATTENTION !
Lay the connection cable of the machine so that a stumble of persons is prevented.

Connect the three-phase electric cable to the machine. The connection points are at the ter-
minal block and are marked with L1, L2, L3.
Check the safety (fuse) of your electrical supply as described in the technical instructions
regarding the power of the lathe.
Firmly secure the machine.
CAUTION!
Ensure that all 3 phases (L1, L2, L3) and the ground wire are connected correctly. The
neutral conductor (N) of its power supply is not connected.
