The quick-action drill chuck
is secured through a form-
fit union (driver) against
twisting in the drilling spin-
dle.
A friction-locking union
holds and centers the
quick-action drill chuck
with the taper mandrel in
the drilling spindle.

Check and, if necessary, clean the conical seat in the drilling spindle and at the taper man-
drel of the tool or the quick-action drill chuck.
Press the taper mandrel into the drilling spindle.

Cooling
The friction generated during rotation can cause the edge of the tool to become very hot.
The tool should be cooled during the drilling process. Cooling the tool with a suitable
cooling lubricant ensures better working results and a longer edge life of the tools.
This is best realised by a separate cooling equipment. If there is no cooling equipment included
in the delivery volume, you can cool by means of a spray gun or a washing bottle.
