Page type determination requirement
Use the IdAssist function to identify
a page type. This function is very useful if you have two page types that are
identical in every way or if there are multiple sets of identical page types. In
these cases, the page types can be set up so that the only way one of the page
types will be identified will be if you trigger the IdAssist function. For example,
in a job with two identical documents, a check and a money order page type,
the check and money order can have the same exact attributes with the only
distinction being that money orders must have been triggered by IdAssist. That
way, the system will recognize the checks you scan normally as belonging to
the check page type.
Page sub-type selection
The page sub-type selection function is useful in
jobs that have a page type with many page sub-types. Use the trigger to bring
up the page sub-type selection screen so you can choose from among the
available sub-types.
Override feed control
The override feed control function allows you to
disable multifeed detection for thicker pieces that may not pass through
normally.
Operation
To trigger IdAssist, simply drop the document in front of the sensor as shown in
Figure 19. The indicator light will blink, notifying you that IdAssist was
activated. The document will be scanned and sorted according to job’s
parameters.
Note:
When using the Page Sub-Type Select IdAssist function, you must
select the sub-type before the document enters the scanner. If a page
sub-type is not selected, the document will be assigned the default page
