Fitting and changing the sole
Removing the sole
Push both unlocking buttons simultaneously
(Figure 15) .
Fitting the sole
Position the VACOpedes Diabetic straight and centred on the sole before pushing it against
the sole (you will hear two clicks)
(Figure 16) .
Adjusting the sole length
Remove the sole (see Removing the sole) and push the unlocking button. Pull the toe section
to the desired length
(Figure 17) .
Patient information
Pressure points / problem-solving
Remove the orthosis from your foot. Pull the valve ring to allow air to flow into the cushion.
Spread the cushion filling evenly at the pressure point. Re-fit the orthosis (see How to
use). Using a finger, check that there are enough small spheres in the cushion between the
pressure point and the outer lower shell.
Showering / washing
You can shower / enter water with the product if your doctor has given you permission to do
so.
Sleeping
Before you go to sleep, place a towel, such as a hand towel, underneath the device so that
the bed sheets are not damaged.
Indications
• Ulcerations on the foot
• Diabetic foot wounds
• Post-operative care following toe and forefoot amputations
Contraindications
None known
Cleaning and maintenance
• Lower shell: Dishwasher at 60 °C
• Strap: Washing machine at 40° C
• PA velour covers: Wash with similar colours in a washing machine at 60°C.
Please remove the vacuum cushion before washing. Close the zip and Velcro fasteners
again.

Hard lower shells (PP); Covers (cotton/PA velour/PU foam); Cushion sleeve (PVC); Filler material (EPS
spheres); Strap (PP fabric); Sole (EVA); Insole (PU); Upper shell (EVA/PP); Upper shell clasp (POM).
Note: Not made from natural rubber latex.
Transport conditions / storage conditions
Storage: Store in a dry and hygienic place and protect from direct sunlight.
