The operation of the function keys can be checked if a 12-key Function Key
Unit is connected. Press a function key. If the number of that key is displayed
in reverse video on the screen, then it is operating properly. Key numbers are
not transmitted to the host during the check operation. Up to two keys can be
pressed simultaneously.
The NT20M-FK210 has 12 standard function keys, so you can use F1 to
F12.
To return to the I/O Check Menu, press the Buzzer Key, Up Key, and Down
Key simultaneously.
A touch switch operation check can be carried out for PTs with touch panels (i.e.,
DT-type PTs) by pressing each switch displayed on the screen. If a given switch
is displayed in reverse video after being pressed for approximately 0.5 second,
then that switch is okay. If “key input sound” is set to ON in the Memory Switch
Menu in Maintenance Mode, then the buzzer sounds simultaneously with the
reverse video display. The switch numbers are not transmitted to the host.
To return to the I/O Check Menu, press the Buzzer, Up, and Down system keys
simultaneously.
When external input terminals turn ON, the corresponding function keys are dis-
played in reverse video. When a 12-key Function Key Unit is connected, F1
through F12 correspond to IN0 through IN11.
