Always press the Quit Button to close the device monitor. Otherwise, all settings will be lost when
the power is turned OFF.

PT operations will be stopped while the device monitor function is opened. This means that the
following operations cannot be performed.
•
System memory manipulation from the host
•
Macro functions
•
Data log function
•
Alarm function
Quitting
Press the
Quit
Button located at the top right of the screen to close the device monitor function.
The System Menu will be returned when the device monitor function is closed.
Common Screen Operations
This section describes the common screen operations using the device monitor function.
Switching PLC Operating Modes
Switches the operating mode of the PLC to which the PT is connected.
Perform the following procedure to switch PLC operating modes.
1. Press the mode display area.
The Change Mode Dialog Box will be displayed.
2. Press the touch switch for the desired mode.
A confirmation dialog will appear. Press YES.
The PLC operating mode will change to the specified mode.
The label display in the mode display area will switch to the display for the specified mode.
Switching Screens
Switches screens within the device monitor function.
The four buttons located at the top left of the screens correspond to the Registered Monitor, Continu-
ous Monitor, Error Information Screens, and Switch Box Screens. The button for the current screen will
be displayed in reverse.
Press the button for the desired screen to switch to that screen.
Selecting Hosts
Use the following procedure to select hosts from the Registered Monitor, Continuous Monitor Screens,
and Switch Box Screens.
1. Press the area where the Host name is displayed.
The Host Selection Dialog Box will be displayed.
