5.2 Using the live screen/freeze screen

The settings described in the table below can be configured using the live screen/freeze screen
menu.

TITLE INPUT

Title input
A title can be displayed in the live screen and in recorded im-
ages. Input can be up to 30 characters.
See "Inputting a title" (P. 44).
WHITE
BALANCE

White balance adjustment (Live screen only)
Specifies whether to perform white balance.
• CANCEL : Do not adjust.
• EXECUTE : Adjust.
After changing the optical adapter, capture an image of a white
object, such as a piece of paper, from a distance of 50 to 60 mm.

FOLDER

Switching, renaming or newly creating a folder for image re-
cording and playback
Switches the folder for recording and playing back the image,
changes the folder name, and creates the folder.
The default is "100IV7R1".
Switches to the folder displayed on the menu screen. For
operations to switch to the folder which is not displayed on
the menu screen, see "4.3 Switching the folder from the live
screen".

Letter appending to the end of image file names
Specifies whether a letter should be added to names assigned to
recorded image files. This feature helps to categorize image files.
• ON : Append letter.
You can select from among "_A", "_B", "_C", and "_D".
Selecting "ON" displays a dialog box for selecting the
letter to be appended to each image file name.

The function to select recording folder, the function to
select file marks and the function to select titles are also
enabled when recording images.
