4 Basic operation
4.4 Recording images
Still images and movie images can be recorded during observation. Data can be stored on the pro-
vided USB flash drive for recording images.
Use the provided USB flash drive or a recommended USB flash drive.
Check to make sure that the USB flash drive is correctly loaded before using it.
Image recording preparation
Format the USB flash drive for recording images on the instrument before using it. For details
about formatting, refer to "USB flash drive formatting (initialization)" (P. 48).
The following table shows the size of a single image and the approximate numbers of images that
can be recorded on a USB flash drive.
To record the date, time, title, logo, measurement results, and other on-screen information onto the
image being recorded, press the [MENU/EXIT] button while a live screen is displayed.
On the menu that appears, select [RECORD] - [PRINT SCREEN ON/OFF] and set "ON" (See P. 42).
Setting "ON" in the "FILE NAME MARK" menu enables following functions when recording images.
• Function to select recording folders.
• Function to select file marks which are added to the end of file names.
• Function to select titles.

Replaying a still image that has the date, title, and other information recorded on it may result in overlap-
ping of date, time, title, logo, and other text. This is not a malfunction.
