4.6 Adjusting the display of the live image

4.6.1 Still image (Freeze)

While the live image is displayed, press the [FREEZE] button.

The observed image is frozen and the freeze icon (

) is displayed in the upper right corner

of the LCD monitor. Do not insert or pull out the insertion tube while the image is frozen.

Press the [FREEZE] button.

The image will be unfrozen.

TIP:

Freezing a live image that contains rapid movement may result in a blurred image.

4.6.2 Enlarging the image (Zoom)

Operating the [ZOOM] lever upward zooms (enlarges) the image by up to 5 times.

To restore the image to the original size, operate the [ZOOM] lever downward.

TIP:

Images are zoomed using the “digital zoom” function. Therefore, the image may become slightly
coarse at higher zoom factors. The recorded still image may become less coarse when [MENU] -
<IMAGE MODE> - <DYNAMIC NOISE REDUCTION> is set to <ON>.

4.6.3 Adjusting the brightness

Adjusting the brightness using the [BRIGHT] lever

The [BRIGHT] lever is used to adjust the brightness when changing the entire brightness of the
live image during observation.
