Troubleshooting
Mechanical / Electrical Issues
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Machine will not start
Emergency stop is
engaged.
Rotate “STOP” button clockwise until it pops
up.
Not connected to power
source.
1. Make sure machine is plugged in.
2. Check electrical panel for tripped circuit
breaker or blown fuse.
3. Ensure all electrical connections have good
contacts.
Low voltage / current. Have an electrician to check/repair the power
circuit.
Faulty switch/motor/
capacitor.
Contact customer service for further
assistance.
Alarm light turns on
Rotation direction switch
is not in “Off” position
when machine turns on.
Set rotation direction switch to “Off”. Unplug
machine for 1 minute to reset machine.
Machine is jammed. Release spindle lock or remove any obstacles
that jams the machine. Unplug machine for 1
minute to reset machine.
Spindle does not rotate
Rotation direction switch
is in “Off” position.
Set direction to either “FOR” or “REV” for your
operation.
Machine stopped
during operation.
Thermal overload
protection triggered.
Hit STOP button and wait for at least 30
seconds to cool down machine. Overload
protection will reset automatically and the
green ready light will turn on when the
machine is cooled. Reduce depth of cut / feed
rate before continue.
Tripped circuit breaker
or blown fuse.
Reconnect circuit. Reduce depth of cut / feed
rate before continue.
Overload protection is
triggered frequently
Feeding stock too fast. Feed stock more slowly.
Dull cutter. Clean / replace cutter.
Extension cord too light
or too long.
Use a shorter / heavier cord that meets this
machine’s electrical requirements.
Machine stalls or does
not come up to speed
Extension cord too light
or too long.
Use a shorter / heavier cord that meets this
machine’s electrical requirements.
V-Belt slippage. Increase belt tension.
Removing too much
material in one pass.
Make lighter cuts or reduce feed rate.
Cutter slippage Tighten spindle cap screw. Ensure cutter /
spindle is installed properly.
Motor / capacitor issue. Contact customer service for further
assistance.
