Selects the data flow control with terminal. Local flow control avoids loss of
data when terminal rate is higher than modem line rate. Flow control is neces-
sary for communications with compression (see %C command).
&K, &K0 No flow control.
&K3 Flow controlled by signals from the V24 interface: RTS/CTS (default
setting in data mode).
&K4 Control with characters: XON/XOFF.
&K5
XON/XOFF flow control. XON/XOFF characters remain on line.
&K6 RTS/CTS and XON/XOFF flow control (default
setting in fax mode).
&K
Selects operating mode.
&Q, &Q0 Direct mode: no buffering. This mode is rarely used. The line rate
must be identical to the terminal rate, which means that the port rate
must be re-configured on connection.
&Q1,2,3,4 Reserved.
&Q5 Security mode: asynchronous, buffering with error correction and
data compression (default setting).
&Q6
Normal mode, asynchronous, buffering without error correction and
data compression.
Note 1: the &Q0 command is identical to the\N1 command (direct mode).
Note 2: in &Q5 (security mode), the \N2,3,4 or 5 command allows the type of correction
to be selected.
Note 3: the &Q6 command is identical to the\N0 command (normal mode).

CTS follows RTS (S26 defines the time lapse)
&R1 RTS ignored and CTS will drop only if required by flow control (default
setting).
Note: CTS is an out-going signal, RTS an incoming signal.
