available. If not choose
Zmodem Batch.
• Once you have chosen to
download a file, the server will
send it without you having to
do anything else.
Notes
• Destination directory for
transfered files is
C:\OLICOM\TRANSFER
• Destination directory for
downloaded files is C:\OLI-
COM\TELECHG. This can be
changed under Setup, Software
Configuration.
• When choosing transfer pro-
tocols such as Xmodem,
Ymodem and Ymodem G the
file recipient should not only
go into Transfer, Reception,
choose transfer protocol but
equally specify the name of the
file when it arrives.
IMPORTANT
If both sender and recipient are
not using Olicom go into Setup,
Preferences and deselect the
protocol OLITEC.
Cover pages.
Problem I’d like to modify a cover page
by, for example, inserting a com-
pany logo. How do I do this?
Solution Here is list of all the possible
options to modify cover pages:
Use a graphics application as a
source for the file to modify, or
use the File menu of Olifax,
Modify a cover page. Paint will
open. It is preferable to use a
graphics application other than
that available in Windows such
as Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro
etc.
The file MESSAGE.BMP (or ano-
ther existing cover page model)
must be opened. This is found
in the Olifax installation direc-
tory.
Modify the file using Design,
Insert a logo etc. Save as
PERSO.BMP for example.
IMPORTANT
This file is associated with the
file MESSAGE.PDG that
contains the specifications,
fonts etc for the cover pages.
To modify values a text editor
must be used such as Write
(Windows 3.XX) or Wordpad
(Windows 95). Specifications
are in cartesian coordinates
(X,Y). When modified save as
PERSO.BMP.
IMPORTANT
All sizes are not available in
each font. Use standard in all
modifications first in order to
try things out.
You will now have respectively:
PERSO.BMP and PERSO . PDG
Only if PERSO does not appear
in the list of models should you
