Editor-compiler
OLICOM editor can process any text file
smaller than 32Kb.
Olicom editor can create or modify a connec-
tion scenario. Click on
Editor
in the
Scenario
menu.

New file
Click on
File
, then
New
. The text is deleted
from the memory.
Click on
Yes
to save the text.
Load a file
Click on
Open
in the File menu. Type in the
file name then click on Save.
Save a file
Click on
Save
in the
File
menu. Specify file
name, click on
Save.
Print a file
Click on Print in the
File
menu. Choose a file
from the list then click on
Open.
Quit editor
Click on
Quit
in the
File
menu. Click on
Yes
to save the text.
You can define a field by clicking on the left
button of the mouse and by holding it down,
move the mouse until you reach the end of
the selected field.
Delete a field
Click on
Cut
in the
Edit
menu.
Copy a field onto the clipboard
Click on
Copy
in the
Edit
menu.
Paste a field from the clipboard
Click on
Paste
in the
Edit
menu.
Delete last entry
Click on
Cancel
in the
Edit
menu.
Compiling allows you to check the function
syntax of the scenario and to create a run file
which is used to run the scenario.
Pro file is the scenario source file and run file
is the operational file.
To start compiling click on
Compile
in the
Compile
menu. The first step is syntax analy-
sis. When a mistake is detected, a message is
displayed indicating the type of mistake. Click
on
OK
to correct the mistake, then continue
compilation.
When compilation is complete a RUN file is
created which can be recognised by OLICOM.
Instructions can be typed in lower or upper
case letters.
