8.
LUBRICATION
LUBRICATION
IMPORTANT
‐
Lubricate
the
grease
point
as
described
in
the
work
programme.
Failure
to
follow
these
instructions
can
result
in
a
shorter
life
of
the
component.

The
"lubrication
programme"
indicated
below
is
recommended
when
operating
in
normal
harvesting
conditions.
When
harvesting
conditions
are
very
demanding,
the
suggested
programme
should
be
performed
more
frequently.
Only
good
quality
multi
‐
purpose
grease
must
be
used
in
this
programme.
Before
lubricating,
clean
the
devices
from
dirt
and
dust.
After
lubricating,
remove
the
excess
grease
to
prevent
accumulations.
Before
lubricating
the
corn
head
or
carrying
out
any
maintenance,
always
take
the
following
precautions:
1
‐
lower
the
corn
head
to
the
ground
or,
if
raised,
connect
the
lock
cylinder.
2
‐
turn
off
the
engine
of
the
combine
harvester,
engage
the
hand
brake
and
remove
the
key
before
leaving
the
operator
platform.
3
‐
make
sure
that
the
main
drive
(cardan
joint)
is
detached
from
the
tow
coupling.
Proper
lubrication
and
maintenance
with
a
regular
time
schedule
is
vital
for
the
proper
maintenance
of
your
equipment.
To
ensure
long
service
and
efficient
operation,
follow
the
lubrication
and
maintenance
programme
described
in
this
manual.
The
use
of
appropriate
fuels,
oils,
greases
and
filters,
as
well
as
keeping
the
greasing
tools
clean,
will
extend
the
life
of
the
machine
and
the
component.
