REMOVAL
OF
THE
CORN
HEAD
FROM
THE
COMBINE
HARVESTER
To
detach
the
corn
head
from
the
combine
harvester,
lift
the
head
completely
and
connect
the
safety
lock
of
pipe
1.
Always
turn
off
the
engine,
engage
the
hand
brake,
remove
the
ignition
key
and
set
the
feeder
safety
lock
in
position
on
the
elevator
cylinder
before
working
under
the
corn
head
or
the
pipe.
Failure
to
connect
the
security
locks
can
result
in
injury
or
death.
Disconnecting
the
universal
joint:
Remove
the
universal
joint
from
the
side
of
the
lift
pipe
and
place
on
the
special
support.
Disconnecting
the
power
supply:
Disconnect
all
electrical
wiring
connecting
the
corn
head
to
the
combine
harvester.
Disconnecting
the
hydraulic
supply
(for
folding
heads
only)
Disconnect
the
hydraulic
clutches
connecting
the
corn
head
and
the
combine
harvester.
Remove
the
retaining
clips
between
the
adapter
and
the
elevator
pipe.
After
releasing
the
retaining
clips,
remove
the
pipe
safety
lock.
Slowly
lower
the
corn
head
until
the
pipe
adapter
is
free
from
the
corn
head
"beam".
Then,
increase
the
distance
between
the
rear
part
and
the
corn
head.
Make
sure
that
everyone
is
at
a
safe
distance
from
the
machine
before
raising
or
lowering
the
corn
head.
