8. TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
8.5.6 Print Troubleshooting
The troubleshooting procedure of abnormal printing is described as follows. The typical
abnormal printing is shown in the following Figure 7-1.

• Does the printer lack toner? (Is the message of Toner Low displayed?)
• Yes
Supply the toner.

Is specified paper used.

Is the lens of the LED head dirty?
• Yes
Clean the lens.
• No
Is the LED head appropriately installed?
(Check that the HEAD connector of the main
board and the PC connector of the LED head are
appropriately connected.)

Install the LED head appropriately.

Does the contact plate of the transfer roller contact the TR terminal of
the high-voltage power supply unit properly? (See Figure 7-3 , Section
9.2 (2))

Adjust the contact plate of the transfer roller so that it contacts
the TR terminal of the high-voltage power supply unit and the
transfer roller shaft well.

Are the contact of the developing roller and toner supply roller of
the image drum cartridge appropriately connected to the contact
assembly? (See Figure 7-2 and )

Adjust so that the contacts of the developing roller and toner
supply roller are connected to the contact assembly.
