Safety instructions
1.
Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save it for future use.
2.
Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 230V only, and use the appliance only for
the intended use.
3.
Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use, before cleaning
and before water is added. Avoid pouring water at the heating element.
4.
The appliance must only be connected to an outlet with earth connection.
5.
Do not immerse the thermostat, the cord or the plug into water or other liquids. The
thermostat must not get in contact with water.
6.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
7.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children
are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling
of electrical appliances.
8.
Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.
9.
The thermostat must not be used with other appliances.
10. Remove the thermostat with the heating element from the barbecue, if the barbecue
is to be stored in an unheated place. Keep the thermostat indoor, in a dry and warm
place.
11. Do not place accessories or cutlery on the grid, when the barbecue is hot.
12. The barbecue must only be used when assembled and only if assembled and mounted
in accordance with the instructions for use.
13. If the barbecue is used with water at the bottom, the drip pan must be placed above the
water and under the heating element, before the barbecue is connected.
14. The thermostat must not be connected to the mains supply, until it is mounted on the
barbecue.
15. If the appliance is used indoor, adequate ventilation must be secured. The grilling process
can be done near the range hood, but never directly under it.
16. Never leave the barbecue outside, where it may be exposed to rain.
17. When using an extension cord, the cord should be placed in a way that nobody can
stumble over it, and thereby make the barbecue fall over. Always an earthed extension
cord. The cord must not get in contact with the hot surfaces of the barbecue.
18. Turn the control knob to MIN level before the plug is connected to the mains supply or
disconnected from the mains supply.
19. When in use the appliance becomes very hot. Do not touch the hot surfaces and take
care during use.
20. The appliance must not be placed at an uneven surface and it must not be placed near
the edge of the table or near walls and curtains.
21. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open fire or the like.
22. The appliance must always be under supervision when in use and until it is cool.
23. Warning: Never use fuels such as charcoal, wood, paper, lighting fluid or similar in the
grill pan.
24. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
25. The electrical installation must comply with the present legislation concerning additional
protection in the form of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA). Check with your installer.
