Wildcard is a function to narrow down conversion options by entering
numbers of the reading of word etc.
•
To use wild card prediction, set "Japanese Word Prediction" and
"Japanese Wildcard Prediction" to ON for Japanese entry, or set "English
Word Prediction" and "English Wildcard Prediction" to ON for English entry.

Select "English (US) Keyboard" as an input method (P.37) to enter
characters using the keyboard whose alignment is same as a PC keyboard.
And select "Japanese Voice" as an input method to enter Japanese by voice
sound.
Entering with "English (US) Keyboard" is explained here.

For the Android keyboard setting, "English (US) Keyboard" or "English
Voice" can be selected. You can switch another keyboard for other
language.
•
From the Android keyboard, entering Japanese is available only with
"Japanese Voice" input mode. To select "Japanese Voice", in "Configure
input methods", unmark "Use system language"

Mark "Japanese Voice"

Symbol list appears. Word suggestions appear if characters are entered. Tap a
symbol or word suggestion to enter.

For some entry fields, symbol list does not appear.

If "Show correction suggestions" is set to "Always hide", symbol list or word
suggestions do not appear.

If "Show correction suggestions" is set to "Show on portrait mode", word
suggestions appear only in the vertical view.
