ually clear most alarms, if desired. This key only appears if
there are new alarms present.

Use the
CHANGE SETTINGS
key to turn an alarm on or
off, or to change the alarm distance.
•
Use the
DROP ANCHOR
key to drop the anchor; use the
RAISE ANCHOR
key to raise the anchor.
•
Use the
KEY BEEP OFF/ON
key to turn off the audio of
the 961’s keys—except for the
MOB
key and the
SAVE
key
(these keys will always beep).
•
Use the
LOUDER
key to increase the volume of the alarm
audio.
•
Use the
SOFTER
key to decrease the volume of the alarm
audio.
Alarms contain information you should read as soon as possi-
ble, including such information as a dragging anchor, lost GPS
signals, or the upcoming arrival at a particular waypoint. The
961 displays alarms at the top of the
CHART
screen and at the
bottom of other screens. Alarms are accompanied by an alarm
audio unless the audio is turned off.
