Chapter 9 - Using the Nav Log

Stopping and restarting navigation

Stopping

navigation

Whenever you press the nav log’s 

STOP

 menu key, the 958 

stops navigating, and won’t display distance and bearing to 
waypoints or ETA or ETE. 

Restarting

navigation

You can restart navigation along any leg or to any waypoint of 
the trip. On the 

NAV LOG

 screen, move the cursor arrow to 

highlight the waypoint or leg. When you select a waypoint, a 
triangle points to the waypoint. When you select a leg, an 
arrow points from the first waypoint to the second. Press the 

RESTART

 menu key.
