The Lens Hood
The lens hoods protect the lens and block stray light that
w ould other w ise cause f lare or ghosting .

Turn the camera off and remove the camera body cap.

Remove the lens cap.

Attach the lens.
K eeping the lens m ounting m ark aligned w ith the
m ounting m ark on the ca m era body , position the lens in
the ca m era’s bayonet m ount and then rotate the lens
counter-clock w ise until it clicks into place w ith the lens
m ounting m ark at the top .

Turn the camera off.

Remove the lens.
To re m ove the lens , press the lens release button w hile
turning the lens clock w ise .
Press the latches (
q
) and attach or
re m ove the hood (
w
). The hood can
be reversed and m ounted on the lens
w hen not in use .
