FREEZER COMPARTMENT
USING THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT
Recommendations:
DO NOT
consume ice cubes and ice sticks (ice lollies) immediately after taking
them from the freezer, since they could cause cold burns.
DO NOT
place sealed containers with liquids such as drinks or other types in
the freezer.
Hot food and drinks must be cooled down before placing them in the freezer.
START-UP
Turn the thermostat knob “1” to an intermediate position. The red signal light “C”
will come on. When this light goes off, food can be introduced into the freezer.
If power to the appliance is interrupted and then immediately reinstated, the
compressor may not start up straight away. This is normal. The compressor will
start automatically after a brief interval.
PRESERVATION OF FROZEN FOOD
The effective period of preservation for frozen foods cannot be established with
accuracy, since it varies considerably depending on the type of food.
By rigorously respecting the instructions on the frozen food package, the best
preservation time is always ensured.
Other recommendations:
Ensure that the packaging does not have any wet marks or swelling, since in this
case the frozen food may already have deteriorated.
Food which has already started defrosting must absolutely not be refrozen.
Do not preserve frozen foods longer than recommended.

Raccomandazioni:
NON
mettere in bocca i cubetti di ghiaccio e non consumare i bastoncini gelati
(ghiaccioli), subito dopo averli tolti dal congelatore, perché possono provocare
bruciature da freddo.
NON
introdurre nel congelatore contenitori sigillati con liquidi quali bibite o
altro tipo.
I cibi e le bevande calde devono essere raffreddate prima di porle nel congela-
tore.
AVVIAMENTO
Ruotare la manopola termostato “1” su una posizione intermedia. Si illumina la
lampada spia rossa “C”. Quando poi la luce si spegnerà, l’apparecchio sarà
pronto per l’inserimento dei cibi da congelare. Se l’apparecchio viene disinseri-
to dall’alimentazione elettrica e immediatamente dopo reinserito, il compressore
può non ripartire immediatamente. Ciò è normale. Il compressore ripartirà auto-
maticamente dopo un breve intervallo.
CONSERVAZIONE CIBI SURGELATI
Per i cibi surgelati l’effettivo periodo di conservazione non può essere stabilito
con precisione perché varia notevolmente per la diversa natura degli alimenti.
Rispettando rigorosamente le istruzioni riportate sull’involucro dei cibi surgelati
sarete sempre sicuri di agire nel migliore dei modi:
Alcuni consigli:
Assicurarsi che l’involucro sia intatto e non presenti delle macchie di umido o
rigonfiamento perché in questi casi il prodotto surgelato può già essersi deterio-
rato.
I cibi che hanno iniziato lo scongelamento non devono essere assolutamente
ricongelati.
Non conservare i cibi surgelati, più a lungo di quanto raccoman-
dato.
