Wood preservation treatment of the door:
All parts of the door must always be wood preservation-treated.
Those
parts of the wood which will no longer be accessible after assembly is
complete should be fully treated before assembly.
Treat the product with blue sealer, and then give it a double protective
coating of an open-pore wood varnish.
Recoat with a new protective
coating at the latest every two years.
Please note that with the doors, if unsuitable coating material is used
then the sheets of material used can take on a different colouring to the
doors.
For coloured and pressure-impregnated houses only the natural wood
points (saw-cuts) and parts must be post-treated.
An even colour for the interior can be achieved with a single over
painting.
To do this use an acrylic-resin based, open-pore water dispersion varnish.

Damaged parts should be repaired immediately in order to ensure a long
lifetime of your product. To do this, lightly sand the damaged part and
recoat it with colour.
Ask your colour specialist for suitable varnishes.
In order to ensure a longer lifetime for the door and to increase the
weatherproofing against driving rain, the wood/window interface ban be
sealed using a suitable sealing compound.
If these protective measures have not been properly carried out
then the results can include deformations, blueness, fungal attack
on the doors and frames and loss of guarantee.
Adjusting the door:
The door must be precisely aligned if it is to work efficiently. The door
frame must be installed square and vertical. The door frame should also
be installed so that it has the same width at the top and the bottom.
If the door does not close or a wing of the door is skewed, then this can
be corrected by screwing in/out the screw-on hinges. These hinges can
be unscrewed by up to 5 turns. If you have a double-wing door, then the
set wing must always be secured at the top and bottom using the metal
fittings provided for the purpose.
Deformation of the door:
Wood reacts to the effects of the environment. Weathering can lead
to swelling and shrinking of the wood. This can lead to changes in
dimensions and mild deformations. In order to make sure that the door
continues to shut properly, depending on the weather conditions the door
may have to be realigned by screwing in/out the hinges.
A deformation of the door can be accepted provided that the
working of the door can be maintained by the methods for adjusting
it described here.
No claim against guarantee can be made for damage which is the result
of the use of force.

Good maintenance is a precondition ensuring the guarantee!
To ensure long-term usability and value it is also necessary to carry out
proper care and maintenance during the guarantee period as well as at
other times, these are not covered in the product liability.
Defects must be corrected as soon as they are discovered.
Cleaning:
Regular cleaning and maintenance is a basic requirement for preserving
the long lifetime and effective working of high-value products. The exterior,
interior and joints must all be cleaned. The cleaning agent used must be
suitable for the material to be cleaned, and this must be checked.
