character or graphic image.

usually associated with higher quality papers.

An electronic memory where text is stored for
processing by the printer.
calliper
The thickness of a sheet of paper. Calliper is the
smallest of the three dimensions of a single sheet,
and is usually measured in two separate places.

appearance of windows, the display of data, the
peripherals to be used and the like.

action to take place, and then press and release the
mouse button without moving the mouse.

The amount of curvature in a sheet of paper when
laid on a surface. In-ream curl is the amount of
curvature the sheet has at the time it is loaded into
the paper tray before printing. Post-image curl is the
curvature resulting from the fusing and delivery

printed is undesirable, while a small amount of curl
on the opposite side is generally acceptable.
cut-edge condition
The state of the paper edges: a factor that can affect
whether or not paper feeds properly.

A preset setting that is automatically read by the
printer until you change the setting.
