Q. What is the proper method for shipping a

Silentwriter SuperScript printer?

The printer should be carefully packed in the
original packing materials.  (Refer to Chapter 9
“Transporting the Printer”  for more details).  If
you did not save your shipping carton, you may
purchase one by calling the NEC National Re-
sponse Center - Spare Parts at 1-800-388-8888.

Q. Can a 115-volt SuperScript printer be converted

to 220 volts in the field?

No. The voltage must be specified at the time of
purchase.

Q. Can I use an external print spooler?

No, external print spoolers are not designed to
work with the high speed bi-directional interface.

Q. Does this work with networks?  I have Windows

for Workgroups in my office.

The SuperScript works as a personal, non-shared
printer only.  Currently, the bi-directional inter-
face protocol must drive the printer in real time.
