8. When all settings are specified, select
Accept
and then press the <Enter> key.
9. Check that the created Virtual Drive is displayed, and then press the <ESC> key to close the screen.
When the message "Save Configuration?" appears, select
Yes
.
The configuration is saved.
10. When the message that states the configuration is saved appears, press the <Esc> key to return to the
TOP menu screen.
11. On the TOP menu screen, select
Objects
,
Virtual Drive
, and then
View/Update Parameters
to check
the Virtual Drive information.
12. Press the <Esc> key to return to the TOP menu screen, and then select
Initialize
.
13. When the Virtual Drives screen appears, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the Virtual Drive to be
initialized, and then press the space key.
The Virtual Drive is selected.
14. Press the <F10> key while the desired Virtual Drive is selected.
15. When the initialization confirmation message appears, select [Yes].
16. Initialization of the selected Virtual Drive starts.
Initialization completes when the
Completed
progress bar on the Init Of VD Is In Progress screen
reaches 100%. Press the <Esc> key to return to the TOP menu screen.
17. For RAID1 and RAID10, execute a Consistency Check for the Virtual Drive after initialization completes.
For details about how to execute a Consistency Check, refer to
Chapter 2 (4.3.4 Executing a
Consistency Check
).
18. Press the <Esc> key to return to the TOP menu screen, and then exit the LSI Software RAID
Configuration Utility.
Important Be sure to execute a Consistency Check after creating a configuration.
