CHAPTER 14 INTERRUPT FUNCTIONS
14.1 Interrupt Function Types
The following two types of interrupt functions are used.
(1) Non-maskable
interrupts
This interrupt is acknowledged unconditionally even if interrupts are disabled. It does not undergo interrupt
priority control and is given top priority over all other interrupt requests.
A standby release signal is generated.
There are one external source and one internal source of non-maskable interrupts.
(2) Maskable
interrupts
These interrupts undergo mask control. If two or more interrupt requests are simultaneously generated, each
interrupt has a predetermined priority as shown in Table 14-1.
A standby release signal is generated.
There are five internal sources of maskable interrupts.
