Disassembly and Reassembly   4-47

Removing the Power Supply

1. 

Power off the system and unplug the power supply ac power cables

2. 

Remove the right side panel as described earlier in this chapter.

3. 

Disconnect the internal power cables from the power supply cable
connectors.

4. 

Unloosen the three thumb screws (see A in Figure below) that secure the
power supply assembly to the rear panel.

5. 

Remove the power supply assembly (B) from the rear of the chassis.

6. 

Remove the four screws (C) securing the power supply's front mounting
plate (D) and remove the plate.

Note: 

Save the power supply's front mounting plate for

installation on the replacement power supply.
