Connecting Cables
Front Panel
Connect the ICMB cable, USB cable, and serial cable to the proper connectors located on the front
of the blade assembly unit. You must remove the front bezel before connecting the USB or serial
cable. For the ICMB cable, you need to remove the front bezel only if you want to change the
chassis ID.
ICMB Connector
IMPORTANT:
Contact the maintenance engineer (or system
engineer) or the service representative if you have any requests on the
system configuration including the connection of the blade assembly
unit to the uninterruptible power supply system or auto power controller
and the time schedule operation.
To connect two or more blade assembly units with devices containing the ICMB bus, use an ICMB
connector on the front face for each connection. Every device connected through the ICMB
connector should have a specific chassis ID. The chassis ID can be set by using the chassis ID
switch.
