2-16 General Description
Power Off
Follow the procedure below to power off the server. If the power cord of the server is connected to a
UPS, refer to the manual that comes with the UPS or the manual for the application that controls the
UPS.
1.
Shut down the OS.
2.
Press the POWER switch on the front of the server.
The POWER LED goes out.
3.
Power off peripheral devices.
Optical Disk Drive (Option)
Your server is not equipped with optical disk drive (e.g., DVD-ROM drive or CD-ROM drive). To
use the external optical disk drive, connect it to the USB connector on the front panel of the server.
Refer to the manual that comes with the optical disk drive for how to use the drive.
Floppy Disk Drive (Option)
Your server is not equipped with floppy disk drive. To use the external floppy disk drive, connect it
to the USB connector on the front panel of the server.
Refer to the manual that comes with the floppy disk drive for how to use the drive.
