7.
Pull the faulty drive out of the bay far enough to
disengage the drive connector from the backplane.
Wait 30 seconds until the drive spins down, then
remove the drive from the drive bay.
Notice: Observe static precautions. Use an antistatic
wrist strap.
8.
Remove the new drive from its protective wrapper,
and place on an antistatic surface.
9.
Record the drive model and serial numbers in the
equipment log.
10.
Position the drive so its SCA connector is near the
top surface of the drive. Place drive on the antistatic
surface again.
